John J. McCarthy
Chairman Emeritus
Mr. McCarthy was born and raised in Chicago and has been a
proud member of the plumbing industry for more than 50 years.
A plumbing contractor for more than 43 years, he has served
as director, secretary, and chairman of the Plumbing Council
where he has been a member for 15 years. He presently serves
as secretary of the Plumbing Council and is chairman of the
Legislative, Nominations, By-Laws and PAC Committee and a
member of the Education Committee.
He previously served as a director and officer for the Plumbing
Contractors Association and also served on the Plumbing
Industry
Golf Committee for ten years.. He is a longstanding member
of the Southside Plumbing Contractors Association. For fifteen
years, Mr. McCarthy has been a trustee for the Welfare Fund
of Local 130 and now serves as Chairman Emeritus.
Mr. McCarthy and his wife, Pauline, currently reside in Lemont
and are the parents of four children: Cathy, John Jr., the
late Bridget and Carol. In addition, they are proud grandparents
of five grandsons and one granddaughter. In his spare time,
Mr. McCarthy enjoys golfing, traveling and spending precious
moments with his grandchildren.
