Robert F. Melko
Director
Mr. Melko has spent his entire career in the plumbing industry.
He has owned and operated Bishop Plumbing in Des Plaines since
1976 and has a staff of more than 40 employees. Bishop Plumbing
provides state-of-the-art plumbing services to Chicago’s
northwest suburbs and surrounding areas since 1921.
Mr. Melko is a director of the Plumbing Council of Chicagoland
and serves as chairman of the Plumbing Council’s Promotional,
Public Relations and Special Functions Committee as well
as
co-chairman on the Financial Investments, Insurance and Employee
Evaluations Committee. He is President Emeritus of the Plumbing
Contractor’s Association, a Trustee of Local 130’s
Joint Apprenticeship Committee and Vice Chairman of the
Union
Affilated Contractors (U.A.C.).
Mr. Melko was born in Chicago and raised in Des Plaines, where
he is a member of the Des Plaines Elks Club. In his spare
time, Mr. Melko enjoys golf and traveling.
