Members
Frank C. Kennedy Director
Board member Frank Kennedy is a lifelong Chicago resident.
He attended St. Nicholas of Tolentine, where he is an active
parish member, DeLaSalle Institute and finally Washburn Trade
School, where he received his apprentice training. Mr. Kennedy
and his wife, Patricia, have been married for 48 years and
have four children: Brian, Michael, Thomas and Mary. They
are proud grandparents of ten grandchildren.
Mr. Kennedy was employed at Litvin Plumbing for more than
20 years, from an apprentice to foreman and, by 1967, superintendent.
He supervised many commercial and high-rise buildings, including
the John Hancock building, Water Tower Place, the CNA Insurance
building and a large laboratory project at the University
of Illinois Hospital.
In 1977, Mr. Kennedy joined as partner at Gehrett Plumbing,
Inc. in Wheaton and since 1988 has been sole proprietor. He
serves as a member of the Plumbing Council of Chicagoland’s
Promotional, Public Relations and Special Functions Committee,
is a member of the Plumbing Contractors Association of Chicago
and serves on the Pension Board for DuPage County Local 501.
In 1998, Mayor Daley appointed Mr. Kennedy to the City Plumbing
License Commission.
